Hospital Accreditation Exalt Health Scottsdale

Exalt Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital has obtained Hospital Accreditation from the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ)

Scottsdale, AZ, December 20, 2024 – Exalt Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital has been surveyed by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) and has successfully met the requirements for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating compliance with CIHQ Standards and the Conditions of Participation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This recognition reflects the hospital’s continuous commitment to safety and quality patient care.

Exalt Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital was subjected to a rigorous unannounced onsite assessment on December 17, 2024. The CIHQ team toured the hospital, reviewed medical records, observed care practices, and interviewed staff and patients.

“CIHQ’ goal is to partner with hospitals to improve the care provided in our communities,” states Richard Curtis, Chief Executive Officer of CIHQ. “CIHQ is proud to recognize Exalt Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital for achieving accreditation.”

“From the corporate office of Exalt Health, we would like to sincerely thank our team in Scottsdale for their most recent achievement in gaining CIHQ accreditation. Through their professionalism and dedication, once again they have achieved another milestone that will make Exalt Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Scottsdale the premier inpatient rehab facility in the valley. Working with CIHQ was different than any survey I have been through in the many years I’ve been in healthcare. Their willingness to educate us on what needed to be adjusted was unlike anything I’ve endured during a survey. This made the survey much less stressful and makes me proud to say I work for an organization who has partnered with CIHQ for accreditation, states Patrick Ryan, Vice President of Hospital Operations.”

Exalt Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital prepared for this survey by establishing a plan with a timeline for all the potential survey activities. Responsibilities were assigned for each category of standard and the team worked together to complete each assignment. Areas of partial or no compliance were identified, and a plan was developed, then implemented to ensure compliance. Education was completed on the standards and ways the organization meets them. Patients were informed about the CIHQ survey, and all possible questions were answered so they knew what to expect. The team at Exalt Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital worked together to ensure compliance and were awarded the CIHQ accreditation.
