The Nintendo Wii™ has many potential uses in therapy. It is able to blend exercise and physical activity with video games. The controller makes the Wii stand out from other systems. The remote is wireless and can detect acceleration and orientation in three dimensions. The Wii Fit attachment is available for balance activities, weight-bearing and some games. It can address strength, balance, flexibility, range of motion and aerobic capacity, but all in real time with immediate biofeedback.
